siesta key.

About a month and a half ago, the family took a little vacation to Siesta Key, Florida, which is right off of Sarasota. It's absolutely gorgeous and I highly recommend going if you're headed to Florida. With white, powdery sand beaches, an adorable little village, & the proximity to Sarasota it's the perfect place to relax a little bit while still having the option to do other activities. We visited the Big Cat Habitat in Sarasota (so fun), miniature golfed at a course with baby alligators you could feed, went bowling, and of course just relaxed on the beach.

1. We let the dogs go swimming for the first time. They responded by rolling in the dust under the barbecue grill, turning themselves into little charcoal dust monsters.
2.We also attempted to get some family Christmas photos on the beach.
3. Sunset on the way home one evening.
4. Our section of the beach: not too crowded, perfectly powdery sand that never got too hot to walk barefoot on. In short, paradise.
