Snow day, snow day

I woke up this morning with a strange premonition that I should check my email. And by strange premonition, I mean that I was looking for any reason to stay snuggled in my bed and not get up for class. Lo and behold, there was an email from my school's DPS: delayed opening! The school would stay closed until 10 AM. Lucky for me, my first and only class was at 9 AM. That meant I had the day off school for this lucky girl.

It turned into a wonderful snow day. I lazed around in my pajamas until 3 PM. I drank coffee. I poured over the latest issue of Real Simple, IE one of my all time favorite magazines. Mother Dearest was kind enough to get me a subscription for Christmas. I did used to pour over every issue she had. She would save them until I came back to the Land of the Peaches, just so I could read them. Now I have my own! I started a document full of recipes that I find in magazines. I played Wii Fit. I cleaned a little bit. I did a little bit of work; my topic & thesis for my seminar on International Women's Human Rights is due tomorrow. But that's been emailed off to the professor.

It somewhat snowed throughout the day. Mostly it just rained. Then around 5 tonight, I looked outside to see snow! Big white fluffy gobs of snow were falling down on Krabby Land. While I was on the phone with Mother Dearest I grabbed my camera and snapped a few pictures of the falling snow from my apartment window.

I'm holding out for another snow day tomorrow!

  1. Hold out until the bitter end! Then clean a closet on your next snow day!
