[easter vigil]

This year, we're doing something a little different for Easter. Normally, we attend mass Sunday morning then go about our day. Mom makes a big dinner and we sit down to ham, twice baked potatoes and green bean casserole. This year, we're attending the Easter Vigil instead.

The Easter Vigil is when the Catholic Church welcomes its new adult members through Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation. It's a beautiful celebration but since it lasts 2-3 hours we never attended in the past. Since Mom and I are both Confirmation sponsors, we're attending the Vigil this year. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow :).
